Following the theme of celebrity I began to use the J G Ballard quote "For us, perhaps, World War Three is now little more than a sinister pop art display". It's taken from his book The Atrocity Exhibition. I've begun work on a light display board using the the phrase "Air of Despair"

which fits in with the public and media attitude towards our celebrity-led culture where the focus is always on what they are doing wrong. I'm looking to develop this into a three-dimensional sculpture
involving found materials and lifesize images of controversial people in the news
with a view to updating Peter Blake's front cover design for Sgt Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band album by The Beatles.
